The rural survival Show

What the show is...

The Rural Survival Show is two hours of talk radio with live call-ins from all over North America.  We try to pick a few subjects each week to discuss in the first hour, the second hour is reserved for callers.  The show normally focuses on the many aspects of rural life, both the good and the bad.  We spend a good deal of time talking about gardening, poultry, livestock, finances, politics, geo-politics and "do-it-yourself" stuff (that we all do out of necessity out here on the farm).  Please join us every Saturday morning, we would really like to hear from you!

  • The show airs every Saturday morning at 10:00 AM Central.  The show's live call in number is +1 (800) 313-9443  Nearly all of our shows are "open lines" or "caller's choice" in the second hour, so feel free to call in on about any subject you might care to talk about.  Those who call in during the beginning of the second hour of the show have a much better chance of being on the air.

What it's all about....

We, Tim & Laurie Spencer and Rik Schmidt, your hosts have a two hour discussion on air every Saturday morning with you, our listeners about a myriad of subjects ranging from livestock to gardening, geo-politics to religion and also many of the items that are in the news of the day.
We try to offer practical advice based on our experiences on the farm during both good times and bad.  We simply talk with our listeners, just like we were all sitting around the wood stove at the country store up the road. Grab yourself a cup of coffee or other favorite beverage next Saturday morning and join us - we would sincerely enjoy hearing from you!

Updates & Announcements:

Please help us stay on the air!  Just like everyone else in the business, we have a myriad of expenses to cover to stay on the air.  We both really enjoy taking your calls, but enjoyment and good fellowship does not pay the bills.  If you feel that you can help, please email us.

We have closed RuralSurvival.info, but you can still find all of the downloads here.
